"Bringing the Mind Home" presented by Jennifer Lewis-Drew on Thursday, November 5th from 6:15-7:15 IBC, Amherst. Learning to meditate is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself in this life. Meditation is a way to bring us back to ourselves, to that deep inner nature where we can really experience and taste our full being, beyond all habitual patterns. We gain inner strength, peace, and compassion. In the stillness and silence of meditation we are introduced to that which we really are, our unchanging pure awareness, which underlies the whole of life and death.
Jennifer Lewis Drew has been a student of Tibetan Buddhism for more than two decades, studying with the acclaimed Tibetan Master Sogyal Rinpoche, author of spiritual classic, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. A meditation instructor with more than 15 years experience, Jennifer recently completed a month-long international training program and Buddhist retreat in the south of France. A world traveler, she spent a year traveling extensively throughout Southeast Asia and the Himalayan region, including a 5-month stay in Tibet and Nepal.
